It is hard to believe we are almost to
March already. Time goes by so fast.
The quote above struck me in a different light
this past week with the passing of my amazingly
sweet father-in-law. While reminiscing, we
combed through old photographs looking for the
perfect shots to represent the great life he
led. We are mere witnesses to time and
history behind the camera. The pictures we
take today may be cherished one day as the
"once-in-a-lifetime" shot of a family member,
friend, or even a complete stranger...
Thank you for sharing your passion for
photography with us.

Meeting - March 5
Larry
Gray will present on panoramic photography. The
presentation will look at the camera, lens, and
techniques with and without a tripod. He will
cover the full spectrum 360/180 degree and
partial panoramics. Finally, Larry will
discuss software and
presentation.

Bring 5-7 photos from recent
events or any other pictures
you would like to share. If you have photos that
you would like help with, bring them with
you! If there is time, our club
members can give you pointers on what to
do. Be sure to use a labeled folder
with the date on a thumb drive to store the
photos you want to share. It will make it
easier for our projectionist.

Trip - Melbourne
Air & Space Show

Our
March field trip will be a visit to the
Melbourne Air Show. The US Air Force
Thunderbirds, stunt aircraft, P-51 Quicksilver
Mustang, vintage aircraft, and exhibits plan to
be there. Gates open at 9 am.
Admission is $19.75 for adults and $10.75 child.

Photo Pit Pass available. For more

City
Hall Gallery Entries
Due
March 21
Our theme
for the next round of photos in City Hall is
"Four Legged Friends." The
deadline for submissions is March
21, 2018 at
midnight.
The Oviedo
Photo Club has proudly displayed photographs in
the Oviedo City Hall since
2014. Our
curator will select five new photos for City
Hall. The five oldest photos in City Hall
will be moved to the Annex building to replace
five of the photos there.
Submissions
are handled via Dropbox. Send an email to
the club to let us know you wish to
participate. You will be provided a link
to a Dropbox folder to upload your photos.
All files submitted should be suitable for
printing a 16 x 20 print. All photos will
be renamed to be anonymous and submitted to our
curator for the selection process. You
will receive a confirmation email after the
photos are renamed and submitted so you can
verify they have all been provided to the
curator. If your photograph is
selected, there is a $25 printing and matting
charge. All photos will be printed by the
club for a consistent appearance and returned to
you in the mat after they have been displayed in
City Hall and the Annex building.

your 2018 membership, go to our website and use
the PayPal button or fill out a membership
application at one of our club meetings.
We request that all club members fill out a new
application form to make sure we have up-to-date
member information.
If you joined after
October 1, 2017, your club membership expires
December 31,

they also hold
in-store photo classes,
including Basic Digital SLR Class and How To Use
Your Point & Shoot Camera. Classes are
being held Fridays and Saturdays. Call

Show your club spirit by adding our
club logo to your shirts, hats or bags.
You can order shirts and other items
in
several styles and colors from
Atticus Printing or bring in something you
already have and they can embroider the club
logo on it for a small
fee.
